I found this when looking for Civil War Podcasts (yes they have one). Highly recommended.

The site tells the story of the Civil War through the eyes of those there. In the words of the site:

"The Civil War Gazette is a WebZine (non-commercial) dedicated to telling the story of the common soldier during the American Civil War.
