BBC NEWS | UK | Disabled woman ends marathon feat: "Miss Page, 54, of St Albans, Herts, left partially paralysed after surgery to remove a tumour in her skull, had walked the 26.2 mile course.

She finished the final mile and a half with her 82-year-old mother Josie Page, on Saturday afternoon"

"Initially she could not even lift a finger, but intensive rehabilitation enabled her to walk, drive and even return to work as a part-time personal assistant at HSBC."
